The Respectful Workplace

The 5 Keys to Building a More Respectful Workplace

DESCRIPTION

In today’s diverse workplace, miscommunication is commonplace. And often employees can say or do things that are misinterpreted or are simply disrespectful. Unchecked, this can contribute to fostering a hostile work environment. This can be exacerbated when individuals unintentionally cross the line through ignorance or simply are intolerant of differences. Regardless of intent, hostile work environment claims can be costly for companies and organizations. This training focuses on the importance of building a workplace that is not just tolerant of differences but rather, one that values the unique qualities of each individual stakeholder. Participants will learn a proactive approach to negating an insensitive work environment, develop a better understanding of and prevent the likelihood of a hostile workplace that fosters insensitive remarks and behaviors that lead to lawsuits and lost productivity. This session will provide participants with the 5 keys to creating a culturally sensitive workplace.
