Seattle Goodwill is a private, non-profit organization that has served Puget Sound communities for 77 years. Goodwill operates nine retail thrift stores in the central and northern Puget Sound region. Merchandise for the stores comes from generous donations of used and new items from the public. Sales of these donations make it possible to operate the education and workforce development programs. In fact, over 95% of the funds needed to operate these programs come from sales made in the retail stores.

EDS worked closely with the Senior Management Team to increase their ability to manage conflict and diversity and to increase the effectiveness of diverse teams. All managers were provided a two-day Diversity Management workshop, after which they engaged EDS to train an internal group of diversity trainers to continue offering training to employees throughout the organization.
“I was impressed with the process and enthusiasm that EDS brought to our team planning sessions. Not only did they guide us through a learning process that helped us understand team dynamics and the impact of culturally learned styles and behaviors, their dynamic presentations engaged the group and gave us valuable insights into managing our own conflicts. As a result, we have increased our team effectiveness and have a greater understanding of each other.”
